ReplyDeleteThe xray helps understand it, and helps with praying visually.
Grace and peace be fervent in their work in and around you-
“You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD,
ReplyDelete“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.
I, even I, am the LORD,
and apart from me there is no savior.
IS 43:10-11 (NIV)
Love and praying for you! Bill and Cindy
Love all the sweet family pictures. And it is good to have a visual understanding of the tumor. Thank you for keeping us all up-to-date. Lord have mercy!
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray every night, Patrick!

Hi Julie, I am so sorry to hear about what's been going on with Patrick and your family. We've never met or spoken before now. I am an old, old friend of Patrick, JoJo and the Kelly family. Lost touch with Patrick after I left DC in 2003 but remember talking to Jo about his tumor when it was discovered. I was so glad to hear back then how well his treatment went.
ReplyDeleteI recently saw Gayleen's post on FB and opened up the link which brought me here. So sorry to see how tough things are now, however, I am glad to see how God's people have rallied around your family. It is always a blessing to be surrounded by loving and caring people.
Best wishes to you, Patrick and your beautiful daughter, Cecilia. I am out in California and don't think I'll be in the DC area for a while but I will like to help, however I can. I will try the paypal link to see if I can make a contribution. It won't be a lot but I do hope it helps. There are a lot of people praying for Patrick and your family and we'll continue to believe God for Peace, Strength and his Grace throughout this period for you all. Remain blessed.
Sincerely,
Ifeanyi Umeh

Hello "Younger Kellys",
ReplyDeleteI got the email from Tim and was investigating visiting to do some "hands on" praying. :)
I will have to stay in Colorado though.
I have forwarded Tim's email to other friends, and they will be adding their prayers.
Patrick, I will pray that you will "rise up on Wings like Eagles".

ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father, we come to you in a special way today and ask that You, the Creator of All, touch Patrick in a special way and recreate him in all areas needing healing. We ask this so that he can become strong and healthy and be your servant for the rest of his life. In the name of Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, and our Lord and Saviour we pray this prayer and Thank you for your mercy and grace. Amen
ReplyDeleteYou all are on my mind almost all the time and I am constantly in prayer. Although I have never met Patrick, I feel as if I know him. Aunt Lee

Patrick and Julie--Brown and I are Kaley Lanzetta's parents. She has shared your story with us for the past several months. I know how much John and Kaley have treasured their time with you and Patrick. They have bonded with you both in such a unique way and have enlisted prayer partners in our family for you and Patrick and Cecelia. Please know that the Vincent family and prayer warriors at Westminster Theological Seminary are praying on your family's behalf. You and Patrick have shown incredible faith and courage during such difficult circumstances. John and Kaley's journey through cancer diagnosis and treatment has led us to you. We are blessed by you and your family. We continue to pray for God's will in your lives each and every day and for His grace and peace to get you through each and every day. In His name, Cindy and Brown Vincent
ReplyDeleteJulie and Patrick--I wanted to add this to our prior post: Cancer is so limited...It cannot cripple love, It cannot shatter hope, It cannot corode faith, It cannot eat away peace, It cannot destroy confidence, It cannot kill friendship, It cannot shut out memories, It cannot silence courage, It cannot invade the soul, It cannot reduce eternal life, It cannot quench the Spirit, It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection. Praying for all of you--Cindy and Brown Vincent
ReplyDeleteDear Julie and Patrick,
ReplyDeleteYou don't know me but we have many mutual friends (Brysons, Coopers, Laura Lewis to name a few) and I just learned of your situation through facebook. I am speechless to say the least. You are so strong and your blog is quite an inspiration. I have just prayed boldly for miraculous healing, as well as comfort and peace for your entire family during this time. The Lord is good. You will remain in my prayers these next few days and weeks to come. Rest in the Lord. Praying for healing in so many ways, Jen Prevette
Hi, I don't know you but got the request for a prayer for Patrick thru our Grace community Church. I want to let you know that my whole family will be praying for Patrick and for all of you. I pray God provides the peace and comfort needed on these moments.
ReplyDeleteJulie - Mary Hanger Johns forwarded me your blog four days before Christmas and my husband and I have been praying for you and your family! I have also circled this blog to old Roomies @ Cherie Rempel's to pray too :) As difficult as this road must be for you I wanted you to know that all of this taking place at Christmas time has been helpful to those of us who may think we have things to complain about, but really we don't. It puts life into perspective that for me personally has been an authentic blessing. I have two babies of my own now. A 2 1/2 year old and an 8 month old so I can pray for you from mom to mom! Our family will also make a donation to your family through the blog so that was a great way to let us bless you! - Sonia Hoffman Blumstein, old roomie from Barcarole Ct (Springfield, VA).
ReplyDeleteI saw your post on prayerworks and i'm captivated and heartbroken by your story. However, I am hopeful that God will provide a miracle for you and your family. God bless you and I will continue to pray for you all!
ReplyDeleteI was a friend of Patrick's at JMU back in the day and just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you during this extremely difficult time. Thanks for sharing your story and I can't imagine what you're going through, and your little girl too. I have two children myself and don't know how I'd explain to them if Daddy had cancer. Your strength is amazing and I pray that God will comfort you during this difficult time.
ReplyDeleteDear Patrick, Julie and Cecilia. You don't know me, but I got a prayer request from a dear and close friend Conor Dugan. Know that you all have been in my prayers and will continue to be, you can count on them. Your example of faith and peace through this is an inspiration for me.
ReplyDeleteMay God grant Patrick the miracle of healing and the grace and strength you need during this time.

Praying for you all each and every day! -Megan in AR
ReplyDeleteJulie - Patrick and I had some mutual friends during our time at JMU. They forwarded me your blog a few weeks ago, and I have been praying fervently ever since. Your story has touched me in so many ways. Having a young child myself, I can only imagine the challenges you are facing of raising your daughter without a father. My heart aches for you and Cecilia. I have wept on many occasions thinking about you and your sweet family. Your blog is so inspiring, and I know it has touched many hearts. I trust that God will provide you strength and the love you need to get through the dark days ahead, and I will continue to pray for this. I know times will not be easy, but through God's grace and His promise of eternal life, I hope you can find some comfort. Please know that my family is thinking of you, even though you don't know us. We will continue to hold you in our prayers for the months to come.
ReplyDeleteJulie, Our family is praying for your family. As a mom, having been a single mom for many years, I know that God will not only give you the strength to be a beautiful example of His love every day for your daughter, but He will also put the people in your life that you will need. Continue to trust in His plan for all of you. I admire your faith and courage.
ReplyDeleteThe Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration (ssfpa.org) are praying for Patrick and for all of you during this time which is so difficult, yet so holy... We lift you up in prayer each hour of each day in our chapel of perpetual adoration. May Jesus be your strength and hope.

Julie and Patrick and Cecilia,
ReplyDeleteWe're all praying for you in Amman. Just catching up on all the news - so sad. We're praying for the grace that you need and that God is capable of giving, and for the strong and confident knowledge that Jesus has walked every hard and deadly road ahead of us. Laura and David Fabrycky, Miriam, and Hannah
My prayers are with you and your family. May you find comfort in the support you receive from family and friends.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie. We haven't met but I knew Patrick from years ago at TFC and we had mutual friends. My husband and I are living and Kenya and I just today saw the posts about his passing and the memorial service. Tears are flowing as I ache for you and your daughter and the painful adjustments ahead. Please know you have people in Kenya praying for your family.
